Herbal Weight Loss Pills

Many people want to become healthy and lose weight but sometimes hearing about all these diet plans and diet pills can be quite daunting. Which are healthy, which won’t produce many side effects and what is effective.

On your trip to the drug, department or health food stores, you can see a plethora of over-the-counter herbal weight loss pills. Many which once contained ephedra, guarana, St. John’s Wart and Senna. Many that are promoted to burn fat by increasing metabolism and some promote as effective in weight loss.

But lately there are some cons to these supplements or pills because physicians due to their side effects do not advise them. We will take a look at a variety of herbal weight loss pills and give you information on their claims and also some of their side effects. But one thing to remember is that many of these herbal weight loss pills is that they haven’t been in the market all that long and a lot of them do not have long studies done on test subjects or animals, thus the long-term effects are not know.

Green tea has been practiced in Asia and the Middle East for centuries. Many believe that the leaves known as Camellia Sinensis which green tea (and green tea extracts) come from has been beneficial to one’s health.

In the past, green tea was used as a stimulant, a diuretic (for urine excretion) and an astringent (to help control bleeding and healing wounds) but other reports have shown that traditionally, they have been used for aiding in digestion and also keeping people aware mentally. Using Green Tea to Lose Weight

In America, with everyone looking for safe alternatives to diet pills, some have found green tea as a safe way to not only lose weight, but as a healthy beverage to replace coffee (which has organic acids that raise blood sugar and insulin and puts a lock on body fat).

For many centuries, many used green tea extracts for medicinal uses in several Asian countries. The benefits that it has brought to those cultures, people feel that not only can they drink something that benefits the body, why not lose a little weight as well. Also, green tea tastes good.
