When it comes to dieting, for many, it’s frustrating especially when there are so many people pushing this diet and that diet. Turn on the TV and you will see plenty of weight loss commercials and even read about diets that are deemed healthy, just to learn a few year later that they are not.

So, without taking any medication, there are those who feel they need to find out how to lose weight naturally. Something safe and something that they can adjust their life to.

A way to lose weight naturally is through daily exercising but making the right choices when it comes to the food that you eat.

One natural way is to eat foods suggested in a Glycemic Impact Diet which is based on the Glycemic Index (GI) which measures the effect that foods have on blood sugar levels. Eating foods that are high on the glycemic index will raise blood sugar levels than foods in the low glycemic index value.

In the past, it was believed that rice and potatoes that were known to have complex carbohydrates were absorbed slowly in the body and various kinds of candy and jams resulted in a spike in blood sugar levels. But with new studies out showing that this is not the case.

With daily exercise, another way for people to lose weight naturally is through a healthy diet filled with fruits and vegetables and the inclusion of protein and low-fat products.

If your goal is to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks, the goal is total up calories. For most meal plans for weight loss, many feature three small meals and two snacks. These small meals are spaced at regular intervals to keep a person’s metabolism functioning correctly.

Of course, like many diets, eating a lot of fruits and vegetables is important, as well as whole grains, lowfat dairy and lean protein. Also, staying away from foods that are processed and have high amounts of fat, calories or sugar.

It’s important that a person eats throughout the day. Of course, you can total up your calories and have 1400 with three meals but the goal is if you can spread out your meals to 4-6 small meals plus snacks every day. Also, eat your food slowly and make healthy choices by selecting fruits, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat meals. Try to include as much fruit and vegetable sinto your nutrition plan and try to eat a total of 5 total vegetable and fruit servings every day.

Also, to try and avoid foods that are high in fat and calories and avoid pastries, candy bars, pies and candy.

In your diet to lose weight naturally, you should try to incorporate lower glycemic impact foods such as:

* 40% of calories are from unrefined, complex carbohydrates such as whole grain breads and cereals and whole pieces of fruit and not juice.
* 30% of calories are from lean protein such as meats like fish, chicken and occasional beef and pork and also other vegetarian options such as soy protein, tofu and textured vegetable proteins.
* 30% of calories are from healthy fats which include nuts, fatty fish, avocado and olive oil.

So, like any diet, you want to communicate with your physician or dietitian, especially if you have been diagnosed with a condition, so you can be properly monitored.

But eating right and with daily exercise is a great way to lose weight naturally!
